Thank you families - we had a wonderful 1st day of school!!!! It was so wonderful to see all our students back after the summer break - we missed them :)
Communication
As a reminder, Parent Square is the best way to communicate to your child's teacher, as well as to the main office (Mrs. Ayala & Mrs. Gardner) for dismissal & pick up information. However, we cannot guarantee that someone is going to answer your Parent Square message immediately - as I'm sure you understand, teachers are busy teaching, and main office staff and support staff are supporting students (especially during the first week).
Dismissal
Thank you for your patience this week during dismissal - it is ALWAYS slower the first week since more parents choose to pick-up and we have new students who are still learning the dismissal process.
We also know that the parent pick-up loop was not designed for the amount of parent pick-ups that we have, and so if the line of cars is too long and you are choosing to park in a designated parent parking spot, please stand and wait at the top of the parent loop (not by the front doors). This is for safety reasons so that we can make sure that every child gets safely to their designated parent/family member.
Parking
Please DO NOT park in the main staff/visitor parking lot or in the bus loop.
PreK dismissal
PreK parents will continue to pick up at the classroom patio door (unless you are picking up from OPMAD, which is in the cafe).
