Organized Parents Make a Difference (OPMAD)

OPMAD has been running successful programs in other Hartford schools for over 20 years, so they bring with them a wealth of expertise and knowledge of what’s best for kids.  OPMAD offers a wide variety of fun-filled educational based programs run by caring adults.

OPMAD offers a wide variety of fun-filled educational based programs.  Your child will enjoy learning through hands-on activities and games.  Each group will have a designated time to focus on homework & reading, followed by various enrichment activities such as dance, math games and fun with science. Volunteers are welcome to share their special hobby with students.  

Daily breakfast/supper will be provided.

Fall OPMAD applications for the 2024-2025 school year are now available in the main office or by contacting Ana Rodriguez.  They were also shared through Parent Square by Mrs. Gardner.

2024-2025 Programming hours:

Morning care (PreK3-8th grade)
7:15 - 8:30 am (Cost $100 per child/month)

After care (PreK3-8th grade)
3:30- 6:00 pm (Cost $20 per child/month)

*On Early Dismissal days, the after care program will run from 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

If your child is accepted in the program, you will receive a Blue Confirmation Form.

(Stripe is also available for payments).  Payments are due by the 7th of each month.

This site is funded by a 21CCLC Grant.

No student will be denied participation based on inability to pay.

OPMAD offers family/parent activities throughout the school year.  Information for these events will be available to you at our Sign-out table at pick-up time.
