A Global School for Students of Character

The mission of the Breakthrough Magnet School is for staff, families and community members to work in partnership developing students as models of outstanding character. Character development permeates our broad-based instruction, producing students with academic rigor, aesthetic appreciation, and physical expressiveness aimed at contributing to others.

Breakthrough has operated variously since September, 1991 as a “school within a school”, charter school, and inter-district magnet school.

Visitor’s Day – Every Friday from 8:15-10:15 AM.

290 Brookfield Street – Hartford, CT 06106 – Phone (860) 695-5700 Fax (860) 722-6817
